Adam completes his PPL exams

jkjklkjl; The weather has been keeping Multiflight PPL student Adam Rahnavard out of the sky again, but he has been putting his time to good use.  Catch up with his flight training progress as he works towards his Private Pilot’s Licence at the Multiflight Flight Training Centre at Leeds Bradford International Airport.

Adam writes: “The British weather has really put its mark on February bringing with it the types of conditions that can ground VFR flight. This weekend’s lessons could not go ahead due to persistent showers, wind and low cloud. Not too down hearted though as it is still February and it’s important to remember all the best weather of 2011 is in front of me!

Following on from my last PPL blog I mentioned the importance of using the winter months to fly when you could but use it to complete the PPL exams. I have now pleasure in confirming I passed my last exam ‘Navigation’. I have now completed all eight theory exams and it’s a huge relief. I have been studying most nights since August so quite an undertaking but as with all aviation I am beginning to realise you can achieve anything if you are prepared to work hard and put the time in. My personal opinion is that each PPL exam tests you on different key aspects although I found personally Navigation the most challenging. I would stick by my view that the ‘Trevor Thom’ series plus the online practice tool ‘Airquiz’ were the key things to get you through the exams by ensuring you understand the topics. It would be unfair of me to not mention the support and guidance I have received from Multiflight and in particular Paul Moss my instructor. Paul has throughout been very supportive and at a moments notice spent time going through parts of my study that I needed help to understand. I am very grateful for this.

It is a great feeling to finally have finished the exams. My next few lessons will now build up to my solo navigation trip and then my skills test. I can just concentrate on flying which is great. The one thing I would say though is that is does not seem two minutes since I had just started the study and now I have completed and passed them all. This gives me the belief that by just taking a step at a time and working hard I can not only obtain my PPL but also achieve the higher standards and requirements of commercial flight training.”
